Good quiet ambience. Food is excellent. However, the white chutney and sambhar are not the best taste here. Should work on that.

This restaurant is definitely one of the best place to eat in the region. Anytime I visit this place I am truly glad. They manage their very high level service and the highest level of meals they offer. You always win with this restaurant. Highly recommended.

Very flavorful vegetarian South Asian food.

This is a Vegetarian restaurant and it is also a BYOB. Restaurant has great selection of dishes form different region of India. I recommend going in a group this way you are able to try different dishes. Enjoy!

My go to on Devon! Love the chaat

A good indian restaurant with decent food. The taste is good and aunthentic to indian foods. The service is not as expected. There are not a lot of waiters and you have to wait to get things done. The price is moderate and worth the money. The medhu vada is really amazing here. Crisp and soft served with sambar and chutney.

I adore this spot! They have delicious meals, they have a rich menu, The cook in that restaurant is a real authority in the kitchen, I enjoy a lot tasting all their food. The dishes are always tasty, the attitude towards the visitors is nice. I go often to this place and I not even once was disappointed. Highly recommended.

I arrive at this superb restaurant every couple of days as I like the good air that is unique to this restaurant. The personel is highly loyal and well trained. The service is absolutely fast. Needless to say, the food they prepare is magnificent. I came often and I was always delighted. The payment is fair. I highly recommend this place to my friends and family.

VEGETARIAN Good food. Server wasn't very attentive e en though she wan't busy. Odd decor. Easy to find on the corner of Talman and Devon: take the 155 bus because parking is scarce.

From the moment you enter this place the stuff gives you a good feeling. Very comfortable hosts, it is a good restaurant to go out with friends and colleagues or with your date. Excellent food, experienced chef de cuisine, honest price and courteous service. Warmly recommended.

They have a large menu and the food comes out fast and tasty. The menu offers a variety of options from throughout India, which is great if you’re looking to eat foods from different regions of India. I especially pleased with the vada-pav and the samosa chaat. This is one of the better restaurants on Devon and the pricing isn’t too bad. Parking is a pain, but that’s the case for all of the surrounding places as well.

Great pure veggie place located in the busy Devon avenue, close to many Indian grocery stores and restaurants. Parking here is quite a challenge during busy hours.The restaurant is clean and has a nice ambience. The staff is really friendly. We went there when it was about to close. Though the food take a little while to come, we were impressed with the freshness and taste.This is a good place for health conscious people. We will definitely come back.

Food is good. Management should start making service also a high priority - I mean, 1) serving glasses of waters, consistency in serving/checking about food or the things provided to customers. While we were 6 guys went for late lunch, we ordered breakfast items, we were served with old and new items in a single plate. We have been calling waitress more times than having lunch.2) I see only one waitress, she did a good job, I appreciate her patience.3) Not enough workers, seems insufficient for the crowd. 4) took minimum of 20 minutes for everything we order, seems kind of okay. But how do we explain for tea, it Shouldn't take 20 minutes. My 3 star rating is my opinion ..

Uru-Swati has the best food on Devon, and the best Indian of anywhere we've ever eaten in the whole Chicago area and the whole country. I'm serious, everything we've ever had there is the best whatever it was. There is one exception -- Uru-Swati is tied with Sukhadia for the best masala dosa. We just were there and had the vada pav, which we usually get at Sukhadia and they are so good. I didn't think it could get any better, but Uru-Swati's was actually better. They have dishes from the north and south. The food is usually less hot at Uru-Swati than at Sukhadia, and I like it less hot.
